My sample

You will need to download my selections package.
Selections.
| Unzip the selections to your PSP "selections" folder. Open a new image 800 x 1000 pixels, transparent back ground. Add a new layer called moon. Using your selection tool set to circle, no feather and anti alias checked. Draw a large circle taking up almost the width of your image. Flood fill this with a light yellow colour. | |
| On the same layer make another circle selection so you are cutting out some of the circle to make a moon. Then delete that selection. | ![]() |
| Add a new layer called pillow and under selections, load the ljgd_tdpillow selection. Flood fill it with the colour of your choice. Add a new layer called teddy and load the selection called ljgd_tdteddy. Flood fill it with a colour of your choice. I used #BC9F82. | ![]() |
| Add a new layer called strings and using your draw tool set to; size 2 point to point line bgd null and foreground whatever (I used black) draw 2 lines going from each tip of the moon to the top center of your image. Then 3 lines of different lengths hanging down from the top joint. |

| Add a new layer and using your draw tool set as follows; retain style unchecked... set to heart shape... bgd and foreground set to colour of your choice (I used #FD8D8D)... Draw a heart hanging from the longest string. Now on a new layer do the same thing but use the star setting and draw a star hanging from the second longest string. I used #B2BACE. Again on a new layer do the same thing but use the sun setting and draw a sun hanging from the shortest string. I used #FCDA98. Make sure those layers are above the string layers. |

| Now It's time to fine tune and decorate. Once you have done this tutorial you can replace the shapes hanging with tubes or your own images. | |
| For the shapes hanging, I selected the image then I used my airbrush tool set at; size 50... hardness 4... opacity 10... step 18... density 100 To gently shade around the edges of each image. I set my colour that I am spraying with, to a colour that is about 2 shades darker than the original fill I used. | ![]() |
| On to the moon layer, select it and using the same spray tool change the size to 100 and the opacity to 15 and spray the edges of the moon with a darker colour than the original. Be sure you spray a bit under the bear and pillow to give it depth. After I did that I changed the density to 50 and the size to 250 and sprayed gently all over the moon with the dark and the light. | ![]() |
| So now we have the danglies and the moon finished *phew*. | |
| On your pillow layer, select the pillow. With your spray tool set the same but size change to 50, spray around the edge of the pillow to give it a bit of depth. Use a darker shade from your pillow fill and if you used white to fill then use grey to shade. Make sure you lightly spray under the teddy's head to give it depth. With it still selected add a new layer called pillow shade and using your draw tool set to; freehand size 2 foreground the same as the shade you just used and bgd null Draw a crease line like I did, then add a gaussian blur of 4. |

| The next step isn't necessary but I blocked off all the other layers,
merged the 2 pillow layers and added a light texture effect to the pillow. On the teddy
layer, select the teddy and shade around him using the same spray settings, only change
your size to 75...and use a darker shade of brown. I used #7C654E. With it still selected add a new layer called teddy shade and use your draw tool like you did on the pillow but use the dark brown and draw crease lines like I have. Then add a gaussian blur of 4. |

| On a new layer called face, use the same draw tool settings and the same
dark brown and draw little creases for eyes and one for a mouth. Then using black or a colour of your choice, draw an oval for a nose. |
![]() |
| Again add a new layer called ears and using a light red or pink
(I used #D39B9B) lets give his ears a little shade. Use your spray can set at size 40 On a new layer called cheeks, use a light pink and give him rosy cheeks. I used #F5C5C5. |

| NOTE!!! The next step is only if you want the bear to have a fuzzy
look to it...
If you don't and you like it the way it is please skip this next step. Now go to your
layer palette and close off every layer except the teddy, the brown shade of the teddy and the
pink ears. Merge those. Select the bear and using Paint Engine apply the following setting; |

| now deselct the bear and add the following eye candy jiggle effect; | ![]() |
| Now open all your layers and you should have something like this. | ![]() |
| Now the last thing to do is add a bow or something decorative to the 3 areas where the strings join. Each end of the moon and one at the top. You can use a tube or freehand a bow. I used a bow tube from Christina's. |
