My sample

This tutorial requires:
A basic knowledge of PSP tools.
My selection files available here.
Unzip the selections to your PSP selection folder. If you do not have a selections folder simply create one.
Note .....If you prefer to not use selections . I suggest you follow my images and duplicate each layer using the preset shape tool set on vector.
Choose the colours you want your shoes to be. I chose white and pink with white laces. You can choose as many colours as you like.
Open a new image 450 x 360 transparent back ground.
Add a new layer called shoe. Go to selection, load from disc, and load "LJGD_BabyShoe.sel".
Flood fill with the colour of your choice.
Add a new layer called shoeback. Go to selection, load from disc, and load "LJGD_BabyShoe_Back.sel" Flood fill it using the same colour as above.
Add a new layer called shoesole. Go to selection, load from disc, and load "LJGD_BabyShoe_Sole.sel" Flood fill this with black.
Add a new layer (under the sole layer) called shoepink. Go to selection, load from disc, "LJGD_BabyShoe_Pink.sel" Flood fill this with the colour of your choice. I used pink.
Add a new layer called stitching. using your Draw tool set to:
freehand size 1, antialias checked, draw little stitch lines
in the pink area like I did (refer to sample above). I used black but you can use what ever
colour you like.
Be sure your bgd colour is set to null.
I drew laces on my shoes using the draw tool set as above.
I set the foreground and the background colour to white.
Each section of lace is on it's own layer. If you prefer you can make the draw tool wider and
draw string laces. Or just use a tube.
I am not supplying the selection for this part as I want your shoes to be unique. So grab that
imagination and get busy tieing those shoes :)
Now to add some shading. :)
I suggest if you have never shaded like this before you do each shading step on a new layer
then if you mess up you can redo it.
Remember edit undo is your best friend :)
Select the first shoe layer. Set your foreground to white or whatever colour you used to flood
fill in the first step. Set your back ground colour to grey (if shading on white) or a darker
version of what you flood filled with.
Set your air brush tool as follows:
size = 55
hardness = 7
opacity = 24
step = 24
density = 100
Starting just outside your image, shade around it to make it blend. Look at my sample
above as a guideline.
Do this to every layer you have, using a colour darker than the colour you flooded with in the first steps.
Once you get to the laces, you will need to make your brush smaller in size.
You can leave it as is in case you want to colour it later, or you can merge the layers and
tube it.
If you want to make a pair, duplicate the image (shift D) and on the new image, merge the layers
and
copy then paste onto the original image as a new layer.
What you are doing is making another shoe behind the first to make a pair.
